HGTV's Fixer Upper - Photography with Chip & Joanna Gaines

I photographed HGTV's Fixer Upper throughout the original series, creating promotional imagery of Chip and Joanna Gaines, key art, behind-the-scenes imagery, and finished interiors from the homes featured on the show.

Working alongside an active television production required a flexible, documentary approach. I photographed around the camera and production crews, capturing authentic moments as they unfolded while also creating polished hero portraits of Chip and Joanna and detailed interior photography of the completed spaces.

Working alongside the Fixer Upper production crew gave me access to the moments happening just outside the frame. Between takes, setups, reveals, and long production days, I documented the humor, spontaneity, and genuine chemistry between Chip and Joanna that became such an important part of the show.

These images were less about directing a moment and more about anticipating one. I was alwaysstaying observant, working around the motion crew, and knowing when something worth photographing was about to happen.
